...The new Gentoo liveCD has a GUI and everything... it's /just/ as easy to use as knoppix...
I wasn't suggesting installing it!

well that linsux bolloxs looks like a complete pain in the arse and not worth it.
clearly {for once} tinpoo had the rite idea.
way easier to backup, format and reinstall.
even though its proper old i thought id bash a shit OS like linsux.

Let's think about how many drivers that aren't part of a standard WinXP install that are required to get all the important devices working in Windows:
- Sound drivers
- LAN drivers
- Graphics card (to get above VGA)
- CPU for power saving modes
These have to be installed separately from the main OS. And how many for Linux?

nuff said (OK, perhaps the nVidia ones to get graphics acceleration, but that's it).
