Avatar won't work...

...or maybe I'm incompetent?
I've now tried on 2 different computers, so it's probably nothing to do with my laptop being shite.
Both files were under 32KB, both were jpegs... HEEEELLP!!!

I only got mine to work once or twice after many many tries so stuc with it :S

Hmm, there are quite a few people on the Internet with this problem. I'll see if upgrading phpbb helps, so try again in a bit.

a common problem with phpbb is that for some reason the avatar folder is not given write priviledges enough and so no new avatars can be written to the folder.. Cocodude I would check the folder permission if I were u

That didn't seem to work unfortuntely. I'll try to upgrade phpBB soon, but it's a bit awkward because I've hacked around with a few files myself.

yes I know how that is... phpBB should be haxed anyway.. as it is otherwise not really optimal.. but enough about that..
I'm off again.. I might be on twofo in a week or so when I'm done with the many activities here

its easiest to get urself a photobucket account and then upload the pic u want as ur av to it and then link to it.
works well for that pic of me

I've now upgraded phpBB to the latest version. Please let me know if avatars work. If they don't, I'll try some more things.
