Now I can only connect to 'certain' websites.

This is stupid, even google isn't among the websites I can connect to!

All of these troubles in less than an hour.

Sending files over msn here is damn near impossible- its like 56k speeds! thats what pisses me off - legal filesharing isnt even possible cause of the shit connections we have!!! A friend was transferring files to me last night, and the internal speed was quite decent (about 4-5mb/s). Before that t...

This is ridiculous. This happened to me last night and is happening again as well: I continually get 'disconnected' from MSN, AIM, and anything else that I'm connected to about every minute or so. This is unacceptable! I came back to see a log of being constantly disconnected and reconnecting a serv...

The thing that annoys me the most about all of this is that if I want to transfer files over MSN then it is actually 'recommended', whereas if I wish to transfer files over any other means it is seemed as condemned to the point where I will get FINED and my connection cut for it? Shocking. If my fri...

I got a letter through saying that I was fined as well. It was a week ago when I got my internet access reconected so you can see why this would be seem as sudden and unexpected. I haven't used DC++ or any other P2P programs ever since being reconnected as well. Not only that, but I need all the mon...

I just got reconnected because I needed the network to do some of my coursework so I was kind of pushing them to get me reconnected constantly. If everyone isn't reconnected tonight then I was told that they would be reconnected first thing tomorrow.

Thanks Coco.

I spoke to ITS and they told me to set up a meeting as well. I think my internet got disconnected at about 11:45 AM or something like that.

ITS Blocking Ports

Hey there. I woke up this morning to find that my internet service had been disconnected by ITS for using DC++. I tried to talk to them about why it was causing a problem, and it seemed that their main concern was due to external traffic. I tried to mention the idea of having an internal hub but it ...

I agree with you. For the past day, pages have been timing out like crazy over ResNet. The only thing that has made me look up a bit is this: Thu 20th October, 13:00: The priority given to MSN Messenger traffic was increased I've really noticed the difference too, at least now I can send and receive...

Also...isn't that a bit of a lie as we can't connect to any of the DC++ Hubs?

I don't understand that. Why is it 'acceptable' to block some P2P programs but not others?

I wish I could, ha. But then again, I'm kind of sucking at my course in general right now.

Hey there.

I get connection timeouts when trying to connect to ladcampus.kicks-ass.org:5555. Is there any reason for this?
