McAfee should, by default, be blocking all external entries. The following steps show how you can set McAfee to allow other DC++ users to access and search your files.

  1. Start up the SecurityCentre.

  2. Click on personal firewall plus.

  3. Click on Options.

  4. Click on Trusted & Banned Ips.

  5. Click on Add.
  6. Select the An IP Address Range.
  7. In the From IP Address box: 137.205.0.0
  8. In the To IP Address box: 137.205.254.254
  9. In the Description: DC++.
  10. Click OK to accept changes.

  11. Repeat steps 5-10 using the range 172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255
