So, what really happened at the last social then? Pictures don't tell you everything, but the shocking truth has been unleashed! Be prepared for tales of magic, death and blue jumpers, and learn that life behind the scenes isn't all fun and games. twofo's very own resident artiste gives us the lowdown in the form of the first ever twofo comic strip!
The twofo forum has now been upgraded to phpBB version 3. Things will look quite a bit different as the theme we previously used is unavailable for this version. We intend on tidying it up slightly, but it's ready for you all to (ab)use.
Please note that the forums will be down tomorrow (Tuesday) for approximately 2 hours. This is in order to upgrade the forum software to phpBB version 3. We estimate the upgrade to start at around 11am. Both posting to and viewing the forum will be unavailable at this time.

Another social over and a success for all that came, although there was a bit of a shortage of new faces. Anybody in the union on Saturday night may have caught a glimpse of Cocodude, yoinkster and mids raving the night away though.
Photos from this and the Pre Social in Leamington are up on the gallery now at http://www.indivisibilities.com/gallery. The password is simply twofo.
It's that most wonderful time of the year again. Yes the first twofo social is rapidly approaching, and we are into double figures now. Social number 10! As with past socials, this will take place over the course of the weekend, with the Friday night being spent out and about in Leamington Spa, and the Saturday afternoon/evening on campus.
The Friday social will start between 7 and 8pm at the White Horse pub in Leamington (on the bus from campus, get off at Tescos at the top of the parade, walk back up the parade and turn left). We will most likely move on from there after 8 and across various bars/pubs around Leamington.
Saturday's social will officially start at 5pm on the Saturday afternoon in Rootes bar. Later on usually we split up up with some people going to whatever union event is on (in what is left of the union) and the rest to the graduate bar (whatever is left of that these days).
Everybody is welcome to come along either or both of the socials, and bring friends, the more the merrier. We are a friendly bunch of people and it is really good to put names to the nicks of people you have been speaking to/downloading from during the term. For further details, please see this thread on the forums: http://www.twofo.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=485
As of this Sunday (19th October) a new minimum share of 5GiB will be applied on twofo. This means if you are not sharing at least 5GiB of hashed 'stuff' you will not be able to get online, so stock up now.
It is highly recommended that you share the folder you download things into by default. To add new shared folders, go to File -> Settings -> Sharing, and click on Add Folder. Then just navigate to the folder you wish to share and click OK. This can be done for as many folders as you like.
Finally it should be noted that just because the share limit is 5GiB doesn't mean you should only share 5GiB if you have more. The only reason the network survives is because people choose to share with each other, and constant leeching ruins that.
Enough of the nagging though, new faces are of course always welcome. If you can't find enough to share initially then the best bet is to find a friend already online and steal something from them in order to get online.
Another year is upon us and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all users onto twofo, whether they be new or old. Guides on connecting to twofo from both on and off campus can be found at the twofo wiki, along with help on almost all other matters relating to the hub.
Twofo is an online filesharing community aimed for students at the University of Warwick, both current and old. Everybody is welcome on the hub and we are pretty friendly (or we would like to think we are). Towards the end of the term there will be a social where you will hopefully be able to meet some of us and put a name to the faces you may have chatted to throughout the term.
It should be said however that using twofo is against the Resnet AUP. ITS have in the past disconnected users for being on the hub so you are using the hub at your own risk unfortunately. To minimise this you should try to follow the guides to blocking external connections to DC++ on the wiki.
Nevertheless we hope to see you online and enjoy your time on twofo. Any questions you may have can be asked on the twofo forums (for instance if you are having trouble connecting for one reason or another).
Happy twofoing!
Cocodude has sorted the problems on the server stopping people from logging in, so everything should be back to normal now. Everybody rejoice!
