twofo represents the state of online discussion and filesharing for students at the University of Warwick. At present, it consists of a Direct Connect ('DC++') hub which is situated off campus, allowing us to discuss stuff. There is unlikely to be an on campus alternative anytime in the future, however anybody from campus is free to connect. Please see the links below for more information.

Post details: Welcome Back
Welcome Back
Welcome back to returning people from previous years and hello to all freshers newly arriving on the hub! New people may be interested in the preconfigured DC++ client for twofo found at http://www.twofo.co.uk/resources/twofoDC++.exe. This contains all the programs you need for connecting to twofo along with instructions on how to use them. Non windows users, or users wanting to configure their own clients, can however find instructions on the twofo wiki.
Twofo is an online community based at Warwick open to anybody that wishes to connect. Everybody is welcome on the hub and we even run socials during term time to allow people to put names to the nicks they see online.
It should be said however that using twofo is against the Resnet AUP. ITS have in the past (quite a long time ago now though) disconnected users for being on the hub so you are using the hub at your own risk unfortunately. To minimise this you should try to follow the guides to blocking external connections to DC++ on the wiki.
However we hope to see as many people online as possible. Further questions can be asked on the twofo forums or on the hub itself.
Happy twofoing!
NB. If it asks for a password when you first connect to the hub, DO NOT PANIC. it just means you have chosen a nick already registered to somebody else (common things like Adam, Joe etc would have been registered eons ago), so simply pick a different nick and try again.
