What is twofo?

twofo represents the state of online discussion and filesharing for students at the University of Warwick. At present, it consists of a Direct Connect ('DC++') hub which is situated off campus, allowing us to discuss stuff. There is unlikely to be an on campus alternative anytime in the future, however anybody from campus is free to connect. Please see the links below for more information.

Post details: Server Move

Server Move

As previously mentioned here, twofo will be moving to a new server. The new server, called emohawk, is running right now and is hosting the current version of the hub. You should not need to do anything to see the change, but it may take 24 hours for the change in IP address to be propogated across the internet. If you still seem to be using the old hub/old version of the website by Thursday, please flush your DNS cache. The forum on the old server will be disabled. Please note that stunnel users will need to restart stunnel in order to pick up the IP change.

The new server is a lovely 1U, Core 2 Quad Q6600 with 2 x 1TB hard disks and 8GB RAM, lovingly built by Cocodude. 2GB RAM will be reserved for the server partition that twofo runs on, with the rest being shared with other GigaTux VPS users in the future.

The server you are currently viewing is the new server (Emohawk).
