Hi, i have 3 external Hd that i dont use continually. I have probs sharing files if im using drive emulators or even turn the on in the wrong order. Is it possible to assign a drive a fixed letter to hash?

You can change drive letters of drives in Disk Management. They *shouldn't* change if you set them to something that other stuff isn't likely to use.

Start > Run 'diskmgmt.msc'

If you right click on the offending drive you should have a 'Change drive letters and paths...' option

Change the letters to something highish like Q: or similar - this will help to avoid future conflicts

As long as you do not have any software installed on the external drives you can safely change them with no adverse effects.
