k causing havoc is good but what if ITs gonna b as stubbern as ever blaming p2p and DC++ in particular are we (as community) going to try and reach compromise? if so what kind if compromise?

well im sure a compromise would be good but i seriously cant see ITS coming to terms with any of the suggestions we make....

god damn them! so correct me if im wrong the ITs only problem with us is that we "eat up" bandwidth and not that we share files?!

ITS have had a rod up their ass ever since someone on their staff {was it from CS ?} got fired for downloading windows_2000_source_code.zip but they couldnt do anything against anyone else who had got it of duefo because they couldn't log the traffic. So I reckon they are just pissed off we got away with it and one of theirs didn't and are on a revenge mission !!

Yoinkster I reckon its more than just a revenge thing.. cus u also have the anal new director/deputy director... simply trying to asert themselves... obviously making irrationational/stupid decisions is a part of their "plan"... so congratulations.. What I'd like to know is why is my bandwidth restricted at such ungodly hours such as 3:30 - 7am when no one else is using the internet.

Surely using HTTP and USENET isn't going to hurt anyone at such hours of the day?!

unless ur subnet is full of "ungodly ppl" who r all awake surfing at "such ungodly hours"... otherwise its simply ITS being shit

Hehe - by the sounds of things, about half of us on campus are "ungodly" so perhaps they've just decided to limit at all times

definately full of "ungoldly" people that would be rejected at christian union, islamic union etc etc. But ungoldly parties only run to 4am so....my subnet infamous featured in the hall of/list of shame/fame.
