Hey,

just for the sake of it, bear in mind that i have no idea how to use this software......

can anyone point me to some info on how to use Putty or revconnect to improve my chances of connecting (and i mean properly connection) to the DC from campus.

on the concerns of how to use putty.. I recommend u get linux.. ssh is integrated

and for everyone else.. GET LINUX

You will need to set up an ssh tunnel to an off campus server and connect via that. It is possible to do this with PuTTY

but the better way to do it is to INSTALL LINUX
