if you try to connect to say, for example,
askdjghslklksfsj.testmctest.co.nz:12345
does that still come back and say
*** No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
or does it say
*** Unknown address

Those messages aren't related in any way to your problem. Everybody gets them, as the stuff they are meant to do won't work with the hub software twofo runs.
And try what yoinkster said
Also, try 2.tankafett.nu:1420 which is a real hub address that isn't twofo
What firewall is it you have, as it still sounds like a firewall issue where it has locked down the program to me

Still the same message (target machine actively refused etc.) My firewall is zonealarm, and I've allowed DC but it's turned off at the minute anyway. The windows firewall's definitely off too. I take it we're leaving stunnel out of this for the time being until DC does what it's meant to?

SUCCESS! I turned my firewall back *on* and it started working... Fucking thing makes no sense to me :S Thanks for all the help
