Funny Things Freshers Say!

Post by Smelly_Kat »

Hello all!
Back from the wilderness of disconnection - I'm using astro's connection at the mo...damn ITS!!!

Anyway, enough of that. I thought it would be good to have something light-hearted on here so this is what I came up with....

Funny things freshers say on DC...we've all seen the commically silly comments, so how bout we share a few....

So here's a couple from the recently deceased penguin (RIP) to start us off....

1. "How can you tell if you're uploading?" (which was then answered) Followed 2 mins later by exactly the same question!

2. What does 5TiB mean?

I'm sure there's way funnier ones than these out there so do post.

(Keep quotes anonymous...don't want to offend/embarass anyone!)

Are thoughts are with you in this time of bereavement....

But here goes:

My favourite's still when this happens:

<Freshn00b343> porn

And the best thing is that it doesn't get less funny when it happens ten minutes later. If anything, it's teh better!

It's not that much of a crazy question! It actually means 5 tebibytes, i.e. 5 terra-binary-bytes (5*1024*1024*1024*1024) as opposed to decimal-bytes (5*1000*1000*1000*1000).

Ah I remember the good ole days in HB .... well last term, with Mandrill's colourful kick messages, some of them were genius.

Kat that last one was good.. I'm still laughing bout that one.. wonder whether he/she figured out how to use his client :P

master811 I agree bout mandrill's kick messages.. Indeed very amusing.. He got better n better as the last term progressed as well :P

Well I cant think of any noob messages right now, but lets face it with an on-campus hub we'll start having an un-exhaustible collection lol

Could have meant BigG's hub I suppose, but I don't think so.
Anyway, it's funnier if it was BigG so let's assume it was
