the majority of freshers have no idea.. most dont even kno wat DC++ really is.. not everyone comes from filesharing countries like the scandinavian ones :P

u do have a point.. but the main average fresher knowledge is quite low.. tho of course the UK is quite backwards in the DC++ and filesharing world.. scandinavia, poland, etc are in another universe.. so compared to the rest of the UK the knowledge is probably not so bad.. I'll take the localization factors into consideration and I'll retract my statement that fresher here have way too low a knowledge worth ridiculing :P

Ah, don't you just love newbies and their funny questions! Recently I've had....

1. What is a router?

Oh god help me!! How am I ment to explain port forwarding to someone who doesn't know what a router is!

2. Most newbies who've never used DC++ before try serching for things in main chat, this one however thought a PM would be better....

[15:52] <Han> ick
[15:52] <Smelly_Kat> hey
[15:52] <Han> sorry that was meant to go in the search box
[15:53] <Smelly_Kat> lol
[15:53] <Smelly_Kat> ok
