Film Night

Post by astropoint »

OK, time to simplify this somewhat :P
Next film night is tomorrow (27th) and is Paycheck at 9pm. most of you already know this, or are too late anyway.

So onto planning the next one. Cocodude's last choice, Dr Strangelove, looks as good as any from here, so we just need to choose a day. Unless stated explicitly I think it is a good idea for all the films to be 9pm.... So days people when are/aren't you free next week?

I generally veto Friday and Saturday nights because other things often happen then. Most other nights are good for me at present.

So, the best nights at the moment seem to be:
  • - Monday
    - Thursday
    - Sunday

And it now looks as though I might not be able to do Thursday, so Sunday 7th is looking quite likely!

OK then. Sunday night over.
A bit of a poor turnout really for various reasons. Lots of people unable to make it, certain (unnamed for now) people unable to find their copies of the film. Tut tut.
But moving on, time to find a time for the next one. Almost eveyrbody has chosen now, only mooo left from the regulars (I think, please correct me if I have missed anybody who wants to make a choice for this), so he should be putting up a shortlist of films, well, shortly :P
As for the time/date of the next one, suggestions please. One night is much the same as any other for me, so when are other people free (not free).

EDIT

Yes, when are you not free and we will work around that :P

i seem to remember something fuzzy about league of gentlement being some dodgy funny thing about some fuckups in the same sort of vein like little britain or sommat ?
i remember some xmas speshul thing where the guy moved in with a vicar {or ... ?} and the vicar was watching him getting changed ... ??
is that the same thing ??

yoinkster: Have you never seen The League Of Gentlemen? It's definitely the case that Little Britain uses some ideas from it.

Anyway, I've seen it before.

My choices are, in order, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hero and Enemy of the State. May consider Back To The Future.

Fair enough no wonder I didnt have anything to do with it then.
those sort of programs are just fucking shit, LoG, LB, harry enfield and all that .... id rather drag my balls across broken glass and sandpaper than watch 30seconds of anything like that.
but im {shockingly} with james on this one,
enemy of the state or back to the future for me i reckon.
