Stunnel not working!

Post by ganesha »

Hi there!

I am on-campus and stunnel is not working. Whenever I run it it simply says:

"2006.09.19 18:58:30 LOG5[1644:2364]: stunnel 4.15 on x86-pc-mingw32-gnu with OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004
2006.09.19 18:58:30 LOG5[1644:2364]: Threading:WIN32 SSL:ENGINE Sockets:SELECT,IPv6
2006.09.19 18:58:30 LOG5[1644:3412]: No limit detected for the number of clients"

and when I put my mouse over it it says: "0 session(s) active"

Which means DC++ refuses to connect at all.

I am not sure what to do about this. My IP is typed into DC++ correctly (which was suggested in a thread below).

A friend of mine is also having this problem.

Thanks!

[19:09:16] <astro> the ssl server hasn't been set up again on here yet

as explained by the above line, stunnel wont work for a few days until the Owner sets it back up, give it time.

Okay cool. I didn't know that. It's good to know it's not just me I guess!

For future reference, where did you find that comment from astro?

Methinks that Zeus was too lazy to type it himself and just copied it from the channel

Yep, he asked on the hub (it's still working for everybody off campus).
You can get onto the hub using socks5 if you *really* want to, but you;d be the only person on campus on the hub - so you;d have nobody you could download from

stunnel is now working again. No guarantees as to how long it'll be working for though!

Ah, it's working now, but I can only connect to on-campus people (which is currently just two others!)

On campus people can only connect to on cmapus people, and at the moment there are barely any people on campus. Hence why it is very liekly if you are on campus and on twofo, then you won;t be able to downlaod. Not before it isn;t working or you're set up wrong, but because there simply isn;t anybody there
