The LAN bandwidth seems to be a bit on the lowside, I'm sure I can do 1000Mbps but its only running at 100 for some reason. Are you a complete and utter fucksmudge? The reason why the LAN is running at 100Mbps is because, funnily enough, it's a 100Mbps network. There really is no helping some peopl...

Well a subnet can only be 254 users max and I think that .1 is reserved as well. The subnets will be fixed to a set of halls or in the case of Rootes, for example, a couple of blocks. For example, if I recall correctly, JM1 and JM2 were on the same subnet [although I was in room 222 so I'm not *enti...

This is the best solution that we can come up with atm. Unfortunately there is a problem with the number of users, not the amount share thus, although I agree with your comment, the general synopsis is that the bigger the share, the larger the variety. This is by no means ideal and all other potenti...

It is possible to make the hub just refuse you connection if you aren't sharing enough but Cocodude hasn't set it up this way - he has it so that bot does the min-share, not the hub

If you connect when there aren't many users connected, i.e. the share limit is still low you will not be disconnected when (if) it increases to a higher level

Problem is, when it increases to 50GB, numbers will drop => other people will rejoin => min share will increase...
Yeah, something does need to be done though

Edit: Hmmm people aren't forcibly removed actually if the share is increased after they have joined
