Just to clarify, cruzerMX is referring the socket 939 opterons not 940 which have been clocking extremely well unsurprisingly because they have the same stepping as the FX-57 which costs 5 times as much. Unfortunately AMD is withdrawing them from consumer sale to system builders only as Athlon64 sal...

A 2Mbps leased line costs £22k a year, multiply by 40 and its £880k so theres not much budget left.

Tsenister wrote:oh pan master u dont have dual raptors for RAID0? aww that is poor dude
There is negligible difference in loading times between 2 raptors in RAID0 and just 1 as the access time is the same.

Common mistake there, 3000+ is a name, the frequency is 1.8Ghz as it has a 9x multiplier (assuming its a Venice). There is 64kb of lvl1 cache, not 64mb.

I recommend increasing your resolution to the native resolution of the screen, whats the screen?
Note that it has been getting very cold lately and as a result I can run at 3.1Ghz.

Why 1024x768?
Anyway, that picture has been photoshopped, I would never download anything illegally because I'm a good person.

I think anyone that uses P2P over the internet should be fined; I wouldn't want Quake 4 to lag on me so someone can get the latest Lost episode or some similar rubbish.
The LAN bandwidth seems to be a bit on the lowside, I'm sure I can do 1000Mbps but its only running at 100 for some reason.

I have been finding internet performance excellent this week, its never been this good. I get occassional slowdowns but nothing compared to what used to happen. The reduction in P2P traffic must have reduced my ping ten-fold and its a lot more consistent.

don't listen to that nonsense, search the internet far and wide for HTTP tunnelling software such as Putty or buy socks server software. As long as you have a connection outside the campus you just have to setup the tunneling server there and use a password. Connect to it using either port 80, 25? o...

Well I dont know anything about thorough bred retards, but I do know something about AMD Athlon Thoroughbred cores.
I take it highly offensively when you say I'm a retard  as you are implying I have an IQ less than 70.

Nah, if it doesn't connect immediately, it wont connect no matter how long. I managed to connect to all 3 hubs at once for the first time 3 hours ago; just my luck that it happened 5mins before I was about to leave the campus. At least I'm not relying on ResNet :D
